(Closed Mondays). \n  \n  \nArtist’s Biography\nRandy Carboni is a contemporary painter born in 1965 in Ridgefield Connecticut\, residing and working in Bethel\, Connecticut. Whether working in watercolor or oil\, his work is full of energy and emotion. His subject matter ranges from plein air\, still life\, animals and people. \nA Connecticut native currently living in Bethel\, Randy Carboni has been very active in the local art community. He has been a member of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists since 1995 and has served on the Guild’s board of directors\, created and maintained the Guild’s original website and has been the Guild’s historian. He has also been a board member of the Ridgefield Arts Council\, and moderator of the Abstract/Contemporary Moderator for the Wetcanvas website. He is currently a member of SCAN (The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown) and a member of the Lyme Artist Association. \nMr. Carboni’s artwork has won multiple awards and has been in many solo and group exhibits. He can be reached through his website: randycarboni.com \n  \nArtist’s Statement\nArt has always been a way to keep harmony in my life. I am always learning and exploring with my art as that keeps me and my viewer interested and excited for the next piece. \nWhen working in watercolor I start each piece with an ink drawing using an eyedropper. Colors are applied with a brush and manipulated with various items found in the studio. When painting in oil\, a palette knife is used. This keeps the painting vibrant with color and expressive with emotion.

They help us remember what matters most and call us toward the world that longs to be born. \nThe Poet: Knowing and Being Known \nThe Poet emerges as we reclaim our Core—our true identity in Source. To get the conversation going\, each will share aspects that influence their work. \n\nLinda Berry: The choice of paper is a key concern in her works on paper.\nBonnie Figgatt: Her earlier\, exquisitely detailed botanical drawings have informed her more abstract prints.\nAngela Liptack: What moved her to go from using fabric as a medium for quilt making to a medium for wall art.\nPeggy Thomas: How nature – from tree bark to polar bears – inspires her clay art.\n\nThe artists hope the viewers will take it from there with questions and observations. \n  \nOn display in The Meetinghouse Gallery \nArt x 4\nFour Artists\, Four Visions\nApril 12 – May 24\, 2026\nLinda Berry\, Bonnie Figgatt\, Angela Liptack\, and Peggy Thomas \nShields Hall\, The Meetinghouse \nThe Gallery is open Tuesdays – Sundays 8:00 am – 4:00 pm for viewing. The program aims to introduce younger students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship\, financial literacy\, and leadership in an approachable\, engaging\, and interactive way. \nNextStep was created after noticing that many students\, like ourselves\, are interested in business at a young age but don’t have the opportunity to learn these skills. Throughout the four-week program\, students build their own business ideas step-by-step\, learning how to develop a product\, set pricing\, understand profit\, and create marketing strategies. Each lesson builds on the previous one\, creating a cohesive experience where students see their ideas truly come to life. \nThe program focuses on collaboration\, creativity\, and confidence-building\, allowing students to work together while also developing and presenting their own ideas. By the end of the program\, students will have built a complete business concept they can take pride in. \nThe final session features a “Shark Tank”-style pitch\, where students present their ideas and make investment decisions\, bringing together everything they’ve learned in a fun and engaging way. \nBios: \nHunter Sucato and Danny Tiktin are students at Ridgefield High School with a shared interest in business\, entrepreneurship\, and leadership. Both are involved in business-related activities at school\, including DECA and business classes\, where they gain experience in areas such as operations\, marketing\, and strategy. They co-created NextStep to give younger students the opportunity to learn real-world business skills before entering high school. They hope to continue pursuing business and entrepreneurship in the future through higher education and their careers. \nDanny is involved in many business classes\, exploring leadership\, entrepreneurship\, and international business. Hunter plays an active role as a School Store Manager and will compete internationally representing the RHS School Store. \n

Join Bob Beckett for a Zazen Sangha (community). Zazen is an ancient form of meditation that includes walking & sitting\, offering a number of ways to explore the practice with zen methods and guidance. Each week\, the session will begin with an introduction to Zazen meditation for first timers\, and a review for experienced meditators. DESCRIPTION:NextStep Business: Small Business Education Program for Middle Schoolers\nThursday evenings\, 5:00 – 6:00 pm\nMay 21 – May 28\, 2026\nUpstairs in Shields Hall \nCost: Tickets are free and may be reserved below. \n  \nNextStep is a small business education program created and taught by two local high school students. The program aims to introduce younger students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship\, financial literacy\, and leadership in an approachable\, engaging\, and interactive way. \nNextStep was created after noticing that many students\, like ourselves\, are interested in business at a young age but don’t have the opportunity to learn these skills. Throughout the four-week program\, students build their own business ideas step-by-step\, learning how to develop a product\, set pricing\, understand profit\, and create marketing strategies. Each lesson builds on the previous one\, creating a cohesive experience where students see their ideas truly come to life. \nThe program focuses on collaboration\, creativity\, and confidence-building\, allowing students to work together while also developing and presenting their own ideas. By the end of the program\, students will have built a complete business concept they can take pride in. \nThe final session features a “Shark Tank”-style pitch\, where students present their ideas and make investment decisions\, bringing together everything they’ve learned in a fun and engaging way. \nBios: \nHunter Sucato and Danny Tiktin are students at Ridgefield High School with a shared interest in business\, entrepreneurship\, and leadership. Both are involved in business-related activities at school\, including DECA and business classes\, where they gain experience in areas such as operations\, marketing\, and strategy. They co-created NextStep to give younger students the opportunity to learn real-world business skills before entering high school. They hope to continue pursuing business and entrepreneurship in the future through higher education and their careers. \nDanny is involved in many business classes\, exploring leadership\, entrepreneurship\, and international business. Hunter plays an active role as a School Store Manager and will compete internationally representing the RHS School Store. \n
