O Wondrous Ones,
As we complete this year and ready ourselves to begin anew, I offer these words of invitation and gentle challenge from poet Jan Richardson:
What we choose… changes us.
Who we love… transforms us.
How we create… remakes us.
Where we live… reshapes us.
So in all our choosing, make us wise;
in all our loving, make us bold;
in all our creating, give us courage;
in all our living, may we become whole.
May each of us find the freedom to release what no longer serves, and the courage to choose—intentionally and together—that which makes us wise, bold, and courageous. In doing so, may we continue to nurture a community where all may be, belong, and become.
