Ways to Donate
Give in Person
Whether you join us for a program, a meal in our market, or simply to enjoy the campus, in-person gifts are always appreciated. Both the Ridgebury Meetinghouse, Inc. and Ridgebury Congregational Church are 501(c)(3) charities, meaning your donation is fully tax-deductible and supports the long-term preservation of our campus and the development of programs for our community and beyond.

Please make checks payable to either Ridgebury Meetinghouse, Inc. or Ridgebury Congregational Church.
- Note: Gifts made by mail at year-end must be postmarked in the same calendar year in order to receive credit for that year. We cannot credit gifts postmarked in January for the previous year.
- If you use automated bill pay, you can set up The Meetinghouse to receive electronically generated checks, making it easier to give regularly.
- For tax purposes, please ensure your name and address are clearly marked on your check.
Give Online
You can donate via electronic check or credit card, using PayPal or other platforms. Please note that credit card donations incur a 1.5% to 2.5% merchant fee. For large donations, consider using electronic checks to reduce these fees. With PayPal, you can make a one-time donation or set up recurring donations on a schedule that works for you.
Employer Matching

Donate Stock or Mutual Funds
Gifts of appreciated securities—stocks, mutual funds, bonds, ADRs (American Depository Receipts), and other assets—may offer you greater tax benefits than selling and donating cash. Consult with a tax professional to understand the benefits of donating securities.

Note: Stock transfers can take 4-5 business days to settle, and donations will be credited when the transfer is complete.
Donor-Advised Funds
You can contribute through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), such as Fidelity Charitable Giving. If you are using a DAF, your tax receipt will be issued by the Fund, not The Meetinghouse, but we will include your donation in your annual contribution statement.
PayPal Giving Fund
The Meetinghouse is a registered charity with PayPal Giving Fund, allowing you to donate directly from your PayPal account. Donations made via this platform will not receive a tax receipt from The Meetinghouse directly, but they are processed through PayPal Giving Fund and will be reflected in our annual giving report. Please allow 15-45 days for donations to process, especially near year-end.
