Wisdom
What is wisdom?
At this hinge time in history, we believe that wise leadership is essential to moving across the ecological, social and spiritual divides. So, we asked 75 leaders from across disciplines to share their wisdom.
Here are a few of their responses:
When I hear the word wisdom, the first thing that comes to mind is intelligence, open-heartedness, and experience.
Wisdom to me means spirituality with knowledge and experience combined. It’s almost like an experience or a journey.
When I think of wisdom, I think of someone who has lived through the worst that humanity can live through, the worst that humankind can offer, and yet comes out offering the best.

What comes to mind when you hear the word “wisdom”?
Why is Wisdom important?
We are at a critical crossroads. The question is: Will we choose a path that sustains life for ourselves and future generations? Doing so means engaging directly with today’s political realities—not just in theory, but in a meaningful and holistic way. This calls for strong, compassionate, and wise leaders who understand how to inspire and guide lasting, transformative change. It requires you!
