Muse Squad Senior Creative Writing Course

March 13 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Join us as The Meetinghouse as the Muse Squad brings their 2026 Senior Living Creative Writing Program, “The Anthologies, Volume 1: Joni” to our campus.

This summer, Muse Squad is excited to announce a new creative writing course for local seniors inspired by the music and legacy of Joni Mitchell. A deeply influential figure in the folk and rock scenes of the 1960s and 70s, Mitchell not only shaped a generation with her music but also with her powerful storytelling, poetic lyrics, and distinct vocal style. Through this program, participants will explore the rich narratives, themes of change, and emotional depth that defined this groundbreaking time in music history.
  • Fridays from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
  • Course Start Date: March 6, 2026
  • Course End Date: May 8, 2026
  • Tuition: $325 (with an additional $25 early bird discount currently offered!)

Who is Muse Squad?

Senior Living Creative Writing Program Fosters Self-expression and Imagination

Muse Squad was established in 2022 by Brittney Richardson, a Ridgefield, CT resident and Rochester, NY native with a BA in English and Master of Fine Arts in Fiction. Upon moving to the Ridgefield area with her family, Ms. Richardson was struck by the lack of creative writing programs offered locally, and set out to launch Muse Squad, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing a diverse range of accessible creative writing opportunities to writers of all ages and backgrounds.

Muse Squad’s programs are specially tailored to foster an exploratory group setting that promotes the creation of inspired works of creative writing by each participant. Our programs provide a supportive, guided environment under an experienced instructor that allows individuals to develop a wide variety of writing techniques and discover their unique authorial voice as they rediscover the joys of writing for fun. All skill levels of writing are welcome.
