Poets & Prophets for Emerging Change Leaders

The world doesn’t need you to fit in.
It needs you to discover who you are—and what you are here to do.
You are growing up in a world of extraordinary possibility—and extraordinary uncertainty.
AI is changing how we work. Climate change is reshaping how we live. Old institutions are being questioned. Communities are divided. And somewhere in the middle of all that noise is you—trying to figure out who you are, where you belong, and what difference you might make.
Poets & Prophets is for young people ready to explore those questions.
Over ten weeks, a small cohort of emerging leaders ages 16-18 will embark on a different kind of leadership journey—one that begins not with résumés, titles, or achievement, but with the person you are becoming.
Join us at The Meetinghouse for this special cohort of Poets & Prophets focused on Emerging Leaders ages 16-18. Minimum 5 participants, Maximum 12. Bring a pen and a notebook or journal.
When: Thursdays starting September 17 through November 19, 2026.
Where: Upstairs in Shield’s Hall
Time: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
For questions, please contact us. The Meetinghouse | 602 Ridgebury Road | Ridgefield, CT 06877.

THE JOURNEY
KNOW YOUR STORY: Who am I becoming?
Explore the experiences, values, strengths, questions, and people that have shaped you. Leadership begins with learning to recognize your own voice.
FIND YOUR EDGE: What happens when I step beyond what I know?
Every meaningful journey includes a threshold—the place where the familiar ends and something new begins. We’ll practice curiosity, courage, deep listening, and the ability to stay present when the answers aren’t obvious.
FIND YOUR PEOPLE: Where—and with whom—do I belong?
No one becomes a leader alone. We’ll explore friendship, difference, community, conflict, empathy, and what it means to help create places where other people can flourish too.
DISCOVER YOUR CALL: What is mine to do?
Leadership is not simply getting people to follow you. It is learning to notice what is happening around you, imagine what could be different, and summon the courage to take the next faithful step.
You don’t need to have your future figured out. You just need to be willing to begin.
