Processing the Waves of Grief: Senior Adult Support Group
November 10 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Processing the Waves of Grief – A supportive, no-cost group for 60+ adults
Losing a spouse, family member, or friend is painful, and grief often comes in waves. This group offers a compassionate space to sit with others navigating loss. There is no right way to grieve and no timeline for healing. Whether your loss is recent or long ago, you are welcome.
Together, we will remember loved ones, share reflections, and explore how grief lives with us now. The group is provided by Ridgefield Youth & Family Services as part of its growing commitment to offering services for adults over the age of 60. The group will be led by experienced facilitator Katie Guillory, who creates a warm, supportive environment for these meaningful conversations.
This group will meet Tuesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Shield’s Hall in The Meetinghouse, beginning Tuesday October 27 and continuing through the end of 2026. There will be 10 sessions in total:
- October 27
- November 3
- November 10
- November 17
- November 24
- December 1
- December 8
- December 15

RYFS is delighted to partner with The Meetinghouse to foster connection and togetherness in our community.
