An Invitation from Our Director

You can customize your retreat or let us collaborate with you to offer enriching activities. From team-building workshops to wellness practices, we can tailor every detail to meet your group’s goals. Here’s just a glimpse of what we can offer:

Possible Breakout Activities

Arts

Engage your creative intelligence through art journaling, poetry & prose, improvisation, and more.

Nature

Get your hands dirty with a service project in our wooded wetlands. Invasive plants always need to be removed. Path maintenance is another option. Allow the outdoors and physical activity to  clear your mind for the work you need to do. Or simply, spend time in nature with forest therapy with our environmentalist in residence, Heather Cochrane. A guided walk and immersion will clear your mind and refresh you for the work you need to do.

Wellness

We will create a yoga and or meditation class specific for your group. You can pick the style and length of class based on our offerings. Or choose a Healthy Habits workshop with our wellness resident, Claire Walker Moffatt, who will lead you through a discussion on how to create and maintain healthy habits through movement, nutrition, et cetera.

Wisdom Formation & Change Leadership

In this liminal time change leadership is essential, so also the wisdom we bring in navigating changing times.  Drawn from the research and practice of our director, Dr. Deborah Rundlett.

Team Portraits of Leadership

Leverage coaching instruments, like MBTI, Change Style Indicator, the Predictive Index, and Core Values Index to build your team on the foundation of their strengths. Facilitated by our communications manager, Candice McMath.

And of course, we are more than happy to design a custom offsite workshop, service project, or wellness program to fit your group’s unique needs.

Meeting Spaces

We offer versatile meeting spaces for groups of all sizes, indoors and out.

Shields Hall

Ideal for larger groups, this space comfortably seats 35-40 people for meetings or 50-75 for a cocktail reception. We can arrange the seating to suit your needs and provide all the necessary tech (a 65″ flat-screen TV, two whiteboards, and a wall-sized projector screen).

Second Floor Shields Hall

For smaller breakouts, this space seats 15-25 comfortably. (Note: This area is accessible only by stairs.)

Meetinghouse

If you’re looking for a historic setting, our Meetinghouse accommodates up to 75 people. It’s perfect for presentations or more formal meetings.

Side Lawn

In warmer months, our beautiful lawn provides an ideal outdoor space for brainstorming, team-building, or simply relaxing together.

During breaks, take a stroll along the wetlands paths, walk the labyrinth, or visit the Wind Phone for a unique moment of reflection.

Coffee & Meals

Our Market offers a range of catering options, with everything from beverage service and snacks to full meals made with locally sourced, artisanal ingredients. We’re happy to work with you to customize a menu based on your group’s needs and preferences.

Beverage & Snack Options

  • All-day beverages (coffee, tea, and water)
  • Morning & afternoon snacks
