Do you feel it—an inescapable pull to respond, a sense that silence is no longer an option?
This quiet urgency often grows from a deeper disquiet: a hunger for wholeness that embraces body, mind, spirit, humanity, and planet.
Like me, you may be feeling the need to respond to the present unraveling. The question is not whether to respond, but how. The immensity of our present crisis can be overwhelming. How do we respond with integrity when the very structures that once safeguarded us are faltering?
This is the call of the Poet-Prophet within each of us.
- The Poet listens deeply, giving voice to unspoken pain and aspiration through metaphor, story, and imagination.
- The Prophet speaks truth to power, naming injustice and calling us to release entitlement and privilege in order to create space for mutual flourishing.
Together, Poet and Prophet hold space for paradox, engage conflict constructively, and inspire collective reimagining. Rather than reinforcing dominant norms, Poet-Prophet leadership cultivates worldviews grounded in justice, interdependence, and the flourishing of people and planet.
When the Poet-Prophet is awakened, we discover more agency than we ever imagined. Join us at The Meetinghouse for a series of gatherings to nurture the Poet and Prophet within your leadership.
- Friday, October 24: 7:00-9:00 pm for a free community Open Mic Night. Featuring Debbie Rundlett to open; then the mic is yours! Bring a poem, song, or short piece. Invite a friend!
- Saturday, October 25: 9:30 am-4:30 pm for a full day of workshops: Nurturing the Poet & Prophet Within. Spend the day reconnecting with yourself, community, and the natural world. Begin with reflection on The Leader as Poet & Prophet with Debbie Rundlett, pause for lunch at The Market, and continue with a restorative Forest Bathing session with Heather Cochrane. The day closes with Sanskrit Wisdom and Chanting with Kate Loewengart, leaving you refreshed, inspired, and grounded in new ways of leading and living.
Come to one, or join us for all! Taken together, these workshops will guide us as we explore and expand the soul of our leadership. More details and workshop registration pages will be shared in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
With blessings for the journey,
