Make Music Day!

Make Music Day is a global, free celebration of music held annually on June 21 – the summer solstice. Unlike a traditional music festival, it is open to anyone. Amatuer and professional musicians perform in streets, parks, plazas, and more!

On June 21, 2025, 147 U.S. cities hosted 5,471 free concerts. Ridgefield was proud to feature 17 venues and 80 performances, showcasing more than 100 musicians. This initiative highlights Ridgefield’s vibrant arts community and celebrates the musician in everyone, connecting performers and audiences while bringing live music to streets, businesses, and public spaces throughout town.

Make Music Ridgefield is organized by the Ridgefield Arts Council, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization appointed by the Town of Ridgefield.
