A Market is coming to The Meetinghouse!

The Meetinghouse is thrilled to announce that Adrienne Burke, owner-operator of Greisers Coffee & Market in Easton, with her amazing team, has agreed to assist in the design, hiring, setting up and launch of the Market at The Meetinghouse!

Come April, you will be able to enjoy a morning or afternoon at The Meetinghouse Market over a coffee or espresso and an artisanal treats baked fresh every morning. In addition, there will be a chef onsite to prepare fresh-made sandwiches, paninis, salads and more for lunch. For those who want to pick up, the refrigerator and freezer sections will have gourmet groceries (we hear the chicken pot pies are amazing!), along with favorites from local shops around the area. There will also be 200 square feet of retail featuring the work of local artisans. Our goal is to open in April!

Co-Creating the Space with Your Help

Now to the really fun part! That the Meetinghouse Market might serve as a true community hub, we are asking you to help us co-create the space with donations of furniture and to consider having a house account.

To get a sense of the color scheme, here is a photo of a rug already in the space.

To ensure lots of cozy, intimate spaces in which to gather, we are looking for comfy armchairs, small tables and chairs, a leather sofa, breakfront for the “community of directors” (more detail below) that you would consider donating (all donations are tax exempt), please send a photo to themarket@meetinghouse.life. We will be in touch within the week to confirm whether or not it will work in the space.

House Accounts

In creating a community hub for all ages, we will also be offering house accounts. For those who open a house account with a balance of $500 to draw down (and, we hope, replenish), you will have your own mug waiting for you when you come in to have a coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Below is the cupboard in Geisers that houses the “community of directors” in Easton.

We can’t wait to see what the cupboard will look like at The Meetinghouse!

Spearheading the creation of the mugs is potter and high school teacher, Jane Grassy. Each mug will be unique. We look forward to seeing which mug you’ll choose!

Another benefit: House accounts will also ensure that we have the cash flow to offer a diversity of food and beverages, and never run out!

Be sure to be checking your Tuesday and Thursday emails as we offer weekly updates!

Together we thrive,
