September at The Meetinghouse: A Season of Wisdom, Creativity and Connection

Hello O Wondrous Ones,

There is a wonderful energy stirring at The Meetinghouse this September!

Across our campus, new possibilities are taking root. The Market continues to grow as a welcoming community gathering place. Our new music studio is up and running in the lower level of the Barn. Applications are open for our shared artists’ studio, and our calendar is filling with opportunities to gather, create, reflect and flourish.

At the heart of it all is a simple but urgent invitation: Be a Kind Human.

This is the theme of our new Wisdom After Hours series, beginning Sunday, October 11, at 2:00 p.m. Each month, we will welcome thoughtful leaders from across generations and disciplines to share the wisdom they have gathered along the way.

Our inaugural guest will be Bob Martinsen, who, at 92 years young, will reflect on the Four Essential Things that have guided his life and leadership—including the enduring importance of integrity. Come ready for a meaningful conversation, an opportunity to learn from a remarkable life and, perhaps, a little wisdom to carry into your own. Learn more and register here.

For those longing to go deeper, our Wisdom Circle will gather on Thursdays from 4:00–5:30 p.m. This fall, we will study the mystics—women and men across traditions whose lives invite us into deeper presence, courageous compassion and a more expansive experience of the Divine.

On Friday, October 9, from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., we will launch a new Poets & Prophets: A Formational Journey. This experience is for those seeking to become more fully human and more deeply grounded amid the complexity of our times. Together, we will explore the stories that have shaped us, the communities to which we belong and the call that is uniquely ours to answer.

And because formation happens around tables as well as in circles, we encourage participants to remain afterward for lunch and conversation in The Market.

There are many other ways to experience The Meetinghouse this season:

The Meetinghouse is becoming what we have long imagined: one house with many rooms—a community commons where people across generations and worldviews can gather, grow and flourish. Whether you enter through wisdom, wellness, music, art, nature or a conversation over lunch, there is a place here for you.

Thank you for helping bring this vision to life through your presence, generosity, creativity and care. I hope to see you at The Meetinghouse this fall.

With deep gratitude,

Deborah Rundlett
Director, The Meetinghouse

P.S. Visit our events calendar for registration information and the latest additions to our fall schedule. There is always something new unfolding at The Meetinghouse!
