So does your life dramatically change when the clock strikes midnight at the start of a new year? Mine doesn’t.
Sometimes we put so much stock into new year changes but we don’t do any of the work to make those changes. We’re left with expectations without the pause and steps to get there. Then when it’s January 2 and nothing has changed we say oh well, next year.
This year focus on objectives rather than goals. Objectives help you change specific actions. For example – stop eating after 7pm or waking up and drinking a giant glass of water or walking every day for 20 minutes, or writing what you’re grateful for daily. Collectively, these little changes lead to bigger shifts that are lasting.
Let’s make this year about the pause and the little steps/movements/changes we need, to create a space in which we can grow. Less self doubt more compassion. Less insults more self love. Less toxic people more people who lift you up. Less baggage more things that energize you. Here’s to your “mores” that serve you the best.
